Stand-up Paddle Board Instructor and Guide

Qualifications Required:

  • Standard First Aid (40-hour and 80-hour first aid courses are preferred)
  • Paddle Canada Stand-up Paddle Certification (Also Administered by VWA once every Spring)
  • SUP experience preferred

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing clients with bookings, waivers and payment
  • Fitting clients with the proper gear
  • Safety checking all equipment before departure
  • Leading or assisting clients on paddleboard excursions, lessons and tours
  • Sending out paddleboard rentals
  • Opening and closing beach-front or Granville Island storefront
  • Aiding clients with launch and returns
  • Following through with all safety procedures

Seadoo Instructors and Tour Guide

Qualifications Required:

  • 80 hour OFA Level 3 First Aid or 90 hour Wilderness
  • Sea doo Guide Course (Administered by VWA once every Spring)

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing clients with bookings, waivers and payment
  • Fitting clients with proper gear
  • Instruct renters with our PWC course and issue 1 day boater license
  • Safety checking all equipment before departure
  • Fuelling machines
  • Leading or assisting clients on Sea doo excursions.
  • Aiding clients with launch and return
  • Opening and closing beach-front or Granville Island storefront

Zodiac Boat Tour Guide

Qualifications Required:

  • SVOP
  • VHF Radio Op Certificate
  • Marine First Aid

Job duties include yet not limited to:

  • Preparing clients with bookings, waivers and payment
  • Fitting clients with proper gear
  • Safety checking all equipment prior to departure
  • Operation of the Zodiac while narrating the tour
  • Maintain all safety regulations and protocols
  • Opening and closing beach-front or Granville Island storefront

Watersports Rental Staff:

Qualifications Required:

  • Standard First Aid

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing clients with bookings, waivers and payment
  • Fitting clients with proper gear
  • Fuelling & equipment maintenance
  • Aiding clients with launch and return
  • Helping clients with paddling tips, use of safety equipment and generally waterway guidelines
  • Opening and closing beach-front or Granville Island storefront

Sea Kayak Instructor and Guide

Qualifications Required:

  • Standard First Aid (40 hour and 80 hour first aid courses are preferred)
  • Paddle Canada level 1 Instructor Sea Kayak Certification (or equivalent)

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Guiding clients on sea kayak excursions, tours and rentals
  • Preparing clients with bookings, waivers and payment
  • Fitting clients with proper gear
  • Aiding clients with launch and return
  • Teaching clients from beginner to advanced levels
  • Opening and closing beach-front or Granville Island storefront
